Lector:
Peter and the other disciple started out on their way to the tomb. Peter entered and saw the shroud neatly folded. Then the other disciple entered also. He saw and believed. The disciples had not understood that , according to the Scriptures, Jesus had to rise from the dead. (Jn 20, 3)
All:
Only You, O Risen Jesus, can bring us back to life's joy. You are the Greatest.
Hymn
The Lord is risen: sing with us! He has conquered death, Hallelujah!
(Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!)
This Trail of Light (Via Lucis) for children can be put into effect during the Easter period and during those moments of fortitude within the life of a community. It is an itinerant and joyous catechesis. It is a Trail of Light by now quite diffused. It has been done in Rome, Jerusalem, Moscow and many other parts of the world. Everyone is enthusiastic about it, especially children. "How beautiful it is" they say, "to keep Jesus company with a joyous face." Now we can really say that the journey is over: After Calvary, the Victory of Life.
