Lector:
On that same day two disciples were walking towards the little town of Emmaus. As they were talking, Jesus said to them: "What are you talking about among yourselves?" One of them replied: "Are you the only resident of Jerusalem who does not know the things that went on these past few days?" He asked : "What things?" They answered: "All those that had to do with Jesus, the Nazarene." And He said to them: "What little sense you have! How slow you are to believe all that the prophets have said." And He explained the Scriptures to them. (Lk 24,13)
All:
Remain with us, O Risen Christ. We will love you and keep You company. This is enough for us.
Hymn:
The Lord is risen: sing with us! He has conquered death, Hallelujah!
(Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!)
This Trail of Light (Via Lucis) for children can be put into effect during the Easter period and during those moments of fortitude within the life of a community. It is an itinerant and joyous catechesis. It is a Trail of Light by now quite diffused. It has been done in Rome, Jerusalem, Moscow and many other parts of the world. Everyone is enthusiastic about it, especially children. "How beautiful it is" they say, "to keep Jesus company with a joyous face." Now we can really say that the journey is over: After Calvary, the Victory of Life.
